I noticed that the preview release is gone from the download area, but Analytics is part of 5.5. I want to try it on my production 5.1 cluster. Is there any way to do this, or do I have to wait for 5.5? Any idea when 5.5 is due for release?

One option is to setup a 5.5 cluster and configure only analytics and data nodes on the new cluster. You can XDCR the data from the production (5.1) cluster to the Analytics (5.5) cluster and try out the Analytics service.
