cbreset_password: command not found

40-rc

#1

Hi,

i installed Couchbase server 4.1.0 but somehow i can’t login with user/name and pass that i inserted at the first place (i saved user/pass in some file locally).

Now when i try to use CLI cbreset_password [hostname]:[port] in /opt/couchbase/bin it is throwing:
‘cbreset_password: command not found’.

Please, advise how to overcome this issue.

BR,
Dusan.

What platform are you running on (Centos6, Ubuntu 14.04 etc?)

What happens when you use the absolute path to it: /opt/couchbase/bin/cbreset_password ?

I am using ubuntu 14.04, same message is shown if i use absolute path.

Works fine for me:

$ /opt/couchbase/bin/cbreset_password --help
Usage: cbreset_password [options]

Options:
  -h, --help show this help message and exit
  -r ROOT root directory - defaults to /opt/couchbase/bin/..

4.1.0-dp, Ubuntu 14.04:

$ cat /opt/couchbase/VERSION.txt
4.1.0-4908
$ cat /etc/issue
Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS \n \l
