I was trying to do XDCR replication on Azure but it seems only if the two VM’s are on the same location replication works properly whereas if the regions are different the replication is not working. But, it show status ‘replicating’
I’m guessing this is a port/networking issue. Which ports do you have open?
Also, have you gone through the recommendations for Microsoft Azure in the documentation? The recommended setup is to attach a public IP to each node.

I kept 8091, 8092 open
Make sure to double check the port documentation, you may also need 11210. And there’s another set of ports if you’re using encryption.
