Dropping a collection vs flushing a bucket

Is dropping a collection similar to flushing a bucket? I.E. does it actually delete documents which belong to the collection? Or does it drop only collection metadata and the documents are moved to the default collection?

@moscicky dropping a collection deletes all the documents from the collection/system physically .
