Erl.exe failed to start (receives 0xc0000005 exception from MSVCR100.dll module) after installing couchbase server on windows 7 64 bit

Hi,
After installing couchbase server on windows 7 64 bit laptop, the service fails to start due to access violation exception , there are no avaliable logs although from the event viewer I can see to following error report -

Do you have any lead how to resolve this issue ?

MSVCR is the Microsoft Visual C Runtime, I do believe. There had been some issues in the past that had us add an update for this to the installer. You may want to check windows update (or other Microsoft support sites) to see if there is a MSVC runtime update. Let us know if you appear to be on the latest.

I’ve got the exact same issue (also on win 7 64 bit laptop).

… same issue after reinstalling on windows 8 x64, any news here?
