How to check if no data were missed

I am running a kafka connector in standalone mode with 1 partition to stream data from couchbase to kafka.
I started streaming from beginning. After no new data to stream, I checked the latest kafa topic offset and I found it was much smaller than bucket offset. Is it normal?

Can you explain what you mean by the “bucket offset”?
