How to downgrade Couchbase Community version from 7.1.0-6703-1 to 6.6

Hi Team,

We have integrated Couchbase server community version 7.1.0 and we are facing lot of index issues can anyone help us the procedure to downgrade the version 6.6.0.

Thanks

Hello @Mohan_B

Thanks for using Couchbase Server.

There’s no known major issues with indexes in 7.1.0, so it would be worth investigation of that issue directly. But in any case there’s a section in our documentation on upgrade and downgrades.

Once an upgrade of a Couchbase-Server cluster has started, downgrade to the earlier version of Couchbase Server can be performed, provided that one node continues to run the earlier version. However, once all nodes are running the later version, downgrade can no longer be performed: therefore, once all nodes are running the later version, should application-support require the earlier version, an entirely new cluster must be created, running the earlier version.

So you would need to backup your data and restore it onto a new cluster, to perform a full downgrade.

Thank you,
Ian McCloy
