How to use CA certificate with couchbase

Hi,

How can we use third party CA certificate in couchbase server?
As the couchbase-cli can only regenerate self signed certificate.
We need to use existing CA cert instead of couchbase self signed certificate.

Hi Shahzad,

With 4.0, we only have support for self-signed certificates in Couchbase.

Supporting CA based certificates is something that we are looking to add in the future. Can you please drop me an email at don (at) couchbase (dot) com, so we can learn more about your use case and requirements?

Thank you,

Hi Don,

We are using couchbase 3.x server with 2.1 java SDK.
We have already enabled the SSL but we are having problems importing Couchbase server certificate into our java cacerts, as it is not a CA cert it could be security vulnerability to import it and make it available for all java applications.

The certificate i am talking about is Web Console–>Settings–>Cluster–>show certificate

Hi Shazad,

CA certificate support is something that we are looking to add in the near future.

I’d be interested to learn more about the CA setup within your enterprise and your use-case.

Please drop me an email at don (at) couchbase (dot) com, so that we can setup some time to chat.
