Installing to a network attached storage mounted volume

For reasons, I am trying to install Couchbase server 4.1 with the data on a mounted NAS volume. However when I target the volume the install hangs and I have to restart. Installing to the local drives or even networked seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.

The “H:” drive appears as a 10GB drive (that I can even put a small data file on) but setting “H:\Database3” as the data location causes the install to die.

Hi @landonbar, During the windows installation, certain folders change attributes and properties (read-only). Is there anything that may prevent the installing user to be able to impersonate users or change permissions on the H drive?
thanks

Yes, that could be possible. I can try changing the service account that Couchbase is running under to make sure it has full rights. Thanks.
