Is there a way to quickly find all deleted documents that are in my sync gateway? I wish to purge them from the system. Currently I’m going through them one by one, but obviously its quite slow.

Perhaps what you’re looking for is the _purge endpoint in sync gateway. This removes all deleted documents for you in a safe manner.
Although this does depend on what version you’re running, as I believe this command was added in Sync Gateway 1.2.
