I can’t find any recent posts on this topic, all appear to be very old and relate to CB 3.0. We have security policies that require us to change all Administrative accounts on a regular cycle. To be clear, the account we’re trying to roll is the “Administrator” account used for the Couchbase Web Console, and other tools that hit the administrative interface on 8091.
After some extensive searching on the forums and on Google, all I can come up with is the cbreset_password which feels more like a last-ditch password recovery mechanism than a regular-use password rolling tool. Also, I can’t find any documentation around how to use cbreset_password in a multi-mode environment. Do I need to run it on each node?
Am I on the right path, or am I using the wrong tool for the job?
