Service 'indexer' exited with status 1

All of a sudden the indexer has started crashing. Attempting to run N1ql queries are now failing despite restarting couchbase, and despite restarting the server. If I remember correctly I was testing some update statements just prior to this.

I had build an older build of 4.5, and then upgraded to build 4.5-2601, but the issue persists.

I noticed MB-19386 but I’m not sure if that has been released yet.

I was able to get around this by recreating my primary index.

Can someone from Couchbase comment on this please?

Could you send the indexer.log to us. it would be good to see what was going on ahead of this.

The issue under MB-19386 has been fixed in 4.5 and was related to full-text indexes not GSI’s use of ForestDB.

Search for “read error” in the file and you’ll find the error.
