Upgrading to 7.1 on Mac M1

When trying to upgrade from 6.6 to 7.1 on Mac M1, I get an error:
Starting epmd ... rosetta error: /var/db/oah/ec0081083daa84087c40a9c6fa9642197cc81520e0be6f132e6c304ff5774da7/dcafa52e7d8ce0cd17741f3783e12a14a984050760f9b396811f667eb94d3112/liblzma.5.dylib.aot: unable to mmap __TEXT: 1 /Applications/Couchbase Server 2.app/Contents/Resources/start-server.sh: line 42: 36629 Trace/BPT trap: 5 sh "${COUCHBASE_TOP}"/bin/cbupgrade -c "${config}" -a yes --namespace_upgrade_only Error: exit of 0 from cbupgrade

This appears to be the issue described in https://issues.couchbase.com/browse/MB-53021. (the error appears in the CouchbaseServer.log attachment on the ticket). The ticket says it is fixed in 7.1.2

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll wait for 7.1.2 community edition and try it again.

I’d suggest just using the official docker container image on a M1 Mac, we publish both x86 and ARM versions. A Mac M1 can natively run the ARM container without using Rosetta2 - Docker Hub .
