I am an extremely experienced software designer and writer, in many languages and development environments. I am particularly expert in Python, Lisp, Smalltalk, and very experienced in C++ and Java.

I am an expert in all manner of object technologies. I have a lot of experience with databases: traditional, object-oriented, and NoSQL. I am partial to agile development methods.

I have been a professor a various times, an independent consultant at other times, and an early employee of many startups (both companies and internal groups). I have written and taught many technical courses and tutorials, in both professional and academic contexts.

I love learning to use new technologies and tools.
